In the last few days fast food workers have been concerned about the state of their wages and rumors of a pay cut, but are the rumors true?
Today, the Mayor has confirmed that the pay cut panic is based on nothing but made up rumors, started on Twinsta by people unconnected to the Mayor's Office. Not only that, but the widespread belief that chopping vegetables in the kitchen will increase pay, is also false.
"All rumors of pay cuts have been proven to be false by the state corporate service. Fast food workers will continue to be paid a full wage for doing their work. The Mayor's Cabinet apologizes for any misinformation that has been received today.
Chopping vegetables does not provide ANY bonuses to the pay of fast food workers. Workers are encouraged to only chop the produce that is needed for the daily sales of food. Any other information on commissions from this act is false information."

After speaking with several workers in the various fast food restaurants, they do seem relieved that the cuts were nothing but rumors, as many suspected. However, they also expressed disappointed at no rumors or promises of a pay rise, with many living paycheck to paycheck.
Hopefully, this will also lead to end in the mountains of food waste that have been piling up at the back of restaurants and the recycling centre. Maybe one day we will have a way to compost these items, but until then it's just wasteful.....and smelly!
